Potters Bar Town will be back on the road following the draw for the first qualifying round of the FA Cup.

The Scholars will face Hanwell Town at the west London club’s home of Reynolds Field in Perivale.

Hanwell, who were formed in 1920 by natives of Newcastle-upon Tyne who were working in the Hanwell area and are nicknamed the Geordies, play one level below Bar in the Bostik League South Central Division.

They got to this stage by beating North Leigh 4-2 on Saturday while Potters Bar saw off Aveley 2-0 in Essex.

Elsewhere the conquerors of Welwyn Garden City, Brantham Athletic, will be at home to Spalding United.

Both Biggleswade clubs still standing face away trips.

Town go to Chesham United while FC, whose game with Soham Town Rangers was abandoned on Saturday after injuries to two Soham players, could face FC Romania.

Royston Town are also away, with AFC Sudbury the destination, but Hitchin Town will be at home to Godmanchester Rovers.

All ties will be played on September 8.
