Two late Crawley Green goals saw Codicote exit the FA Cup in their first ever appearance in the competition.

Paul Garrett gave Codicote the lead in the second leg of the Extra Preliminary Round after only four minutes, and they held this lead until the 60th minute when N Nolan levelled things up.

As the clocked ticked towards full time, there was heartbreak for Liam Errington’s side as C Gibson put Green 2-1 up.

In the fourth minute of added-on time the game, and FA Cup progression, was sewn up when J Butler netted.

This was Codicote’s first defeat of the season, and they will be looking to bounce back when they travel to take on Buckingham Athletic this Saturday.
