Potters Bar ESFA team v Woking

Cain Keller’s 16th goal of the season allowed ESFA Potters Bar Primary Schools District U11 team to see off Surrey District side Woking in the ESFA nine-a-side Berkshire District League on Saturday.

Potters Bar started the quicker of the two teams and this proved to be decisive in the end with man-of-the-match Keller’s second-minute strike securing the three points for Potters Bar with a 1-0 win.

Goalkeeper Finlay Roper enjoyed another clean sheet, while defenders Tommy Edwards, Zino Owhe and Jonathan Taiwo were superb at the back.

Midfielders George Morrall, Captain Romey Eccles-Meoded, Max Granville, Samuel Granville and goalscorer Keller were solid and showed their class throughout.

Striker Eddie Johnston also worked hard for the team.

The team now take on local rivals St Albans next Saturday in an ESFA nine-a-side Geoff Richards Memorial District League Fixture at Oakmere Primary School.
