Lemsford Youth Tigers U16 and Hoddesdon Reds played out an entertaining 3-3 draw in their final league game of the season.

Lemsford were unlucky not to open the scoring when a corner was headed back into the box by Max Winter only for Reds to scramble clear.

Hoddesdon slowly gained confidence and took the lead on 18 minutes when Lemsford failed to clear a throw-in and they made it 2-0 five minutes later.

Tigers’ keeper Carlo Fucchi was in good form and kept them in the game with a string of fine saves.

A penalty on the stroke of half-time converted by Jack Mongey brought them back into it and Scott Davies powerfully headed home a Tom Page corner to make it 2-2 after the break.

And the comeback was completed when Davies tapped in his second to put them ahead.

But victory was snatched away late on when the Reds equalised with a spot-kick of their own.
