ENGLAND’S soccer aces took time out from the rigours of their qualifying games for Euro 2012 – with a game of golf at Brocket Hall.
They were joined by members of the FA, the England manager Fabio Capello, coaches and soccer legend Trevor Brooking.
Among those who played the Palmerston Course on Saturday afternoon were Wayne Rooney, Theo Walcott and goal keeper Joe Hart.
The Welwyn Hatfield Times and its editor Terry Mitchinson were invited down for the occasion and got this shot of the England party – taken by Kevin Lines – on the first tee.
Tim Perkins, Brocket Hall director, said: “We were delighted to host the England football team as they relaxed in between matches.
“They were fantastic guests and we look forward to welcoming them back in the future.”
