STEVE Dodd netted a last-gasp equaliser to salvage Sherrardswood & Birchwood Rangers Reds Under-10s a point against Harlow Sports Blues.

After a disappointing performance, Rangers equalised just on full time to earn a 2-2 draw on Saturday.

Following early pressure from the Blues, Rangers responded with shots from Matthew Morris and Dodd going wide.

Dodd then headed in a Danny Sitton corner to put Rangers one up on five minutes.

Rangers maintained the pressure with accurate passing and interplay, allowing shots from Sitton, Morris and Calum Paine, but the Blues defence remained strong.

Harlow's counter-attacks always looked dangerous and despite strong defence from Toby Coleman, Warren Mitchell and Calum Paine and a series of saves from keeper Zak Tooth, Blues equalised just before half-time.

Manager Graham Morris brought on substitutes Neil Crafer, James Wall and Toby Daley at the start of the second half and before they had settled into their positions, Blues were awarded a free-kick in the first minute.

It was blocked by the Rangers defence, but the rebound was firmly struck and found the top corner for 2-1.

The Reds snatched a point in the closing seconds. Rangers broke from their half and Dodd scrambled in the equaliser.
