Derby spoils go the way of Welwyn Pegasus Royals after county cup win over Panshanger Lions

Welwyn Pegasus Royals took the derby day honours with a 4-1 success over Panshanger Lions in the U15 Hertfordshire County Challenge Cup.
It needed a better second half for them to do so as the first-half saw both sides cancel each other for long periods.
The Royals were the first to breach the opposition defence, Connor Garrett being found in space by a delightful through ball and lobbing the stranded keeper before Tyler Garnett struck an unstoppable shot for 2-0.
But Panshanger justifiably pulled a goal back before half-time with a well-struck free-kick from just outside the area.
And it was only after the break that Pegasus started to show the form that has lifted them up the MHRML Premier Division table.
Garrett got his second of the game after shrugging off a Lions defender and they put the game beyond Panshanger’s reach when Toby Golding broke from midfield and curled a shot from 25-yards out into the top corner.
