A STUNNING Toby Daley goal from 20 yards helped Sherrardswood and Birchwood Rangers Under-11s defeat Bury Rangers 3-1 in MHRML Division One.

The win completed the double over Bury to keep Rangers top of the table.

Despite constant pressure in the first half, Rangers could not break down an organised Bury defence with Danny Sitton being a thorn in their side.

The two teams went into the half-time break goalless.

S&B looked susceptible on the break and five minutes into the second half Bury scored after beating the offside trap.

This goal seemed to galvanise S&B and within five minutes they were level.

A good Tommy Dolan run and shot that the keeper could only parry left Matthew Morris a tap-in.

The S&B pressure continued to mount as they chased victory.

After a constant steam of corners, midway through the second half the ball broke to Toby Daley at the edge of the box.

Daley rifled in the goal of the game and his first for the season with a top corner effort.

Wave after wave of pressure from S&B culminated with a great run and cool finish from Calum Paine to make the final score 3-1.

Toby Daley was given the man of the match award for his resolute defending and game changing goal.
