DADS Army Reserves kept up their winning start to 2009 with an impressive 2-0 win over Hatfield Yellows in their Division Three League Cup first round first leg game.

With several players missing, Dads Army were down to the bare bones on Sunday.

But the side pulled together and produced an excellent performance in this first leg affair.

Dan Amos was outstanding in defence and with Gary Ansell pulling the strings in midfield it was only a matter of time before the deadlock was broken.

The energetic Webb took on several players and crossed for Prowley to put the Army one up.

As Dads Army continued to attack they missed several opportunities as a Woodford header came back off the post and Cross hit the bar.

Hatfield Yellows were always dangerous on the break.

But Prowley made it a 2-0 in the final five minutes to give Dads Army the advantage going into next Sunday's second leg clash.
