DADS Army Reserves lost 1-0 to Hatfield Yellows but still made the semi-finals of the WHSFL Division Three League Cup.

The second leg game against Yellows on Sunday was a real battle.

The Army took a 2-0 advantage from the first leg and knew they were in for a tough match against a good, young Hatfield side.

Jay Jefcoate went close after 10 minutes with a diving header and Carl Webb had a good chance to put the Army in front.

However, it was Hatfield Yellows who took the lead after half an hour.

The management duo of Smith and Dodd rallied the troops at half-time and the introduction of Glen Mair helped Dads Army win the midfield battle.

They created many chances but were unable to beat the Hatfield keeper.

The result was still enough to see Dads Army through to the last four of the Division Three League Cup, where they will meet Hedgehog.
