Potters Bar Crusaders U13 girls extended their lead at the top to five points with a thumping 10-2 win over Bishop’s Stortford.

They have now won six from six in the Hertfordshire Girls’ Football Partnership League U13s Division Three and look favourites for promotion.

Debutant Luisa opened the scoring early on but an instant equaliser kept the score tied for aound 20 minutes.

Manager Luke Owers pulled ‘stand in’ keeper Maya out of goal to set up a lovely team move for Annie’s first of the season with Amelie finishing the game in goal.

Maya and Summer bagged hat-tricks each leaving them tied on nine for the season.

And both Annie and Luisa added another goal to ensure the three points.

Owers said: “All the squad’s members played well throughout the game and have shown improvement since September.”

The two teams meet again this weekend at Potters Bar Cricket Club.
