CODICOTE'S temporary home ground looked more like a lake this week after a nearby river burst its banks flooding the area.

Dan Kennoy's side currently play at Hertford Town's Hertingfordbury Park which is situated alongside the River Lee.

Heavy rain and melting snow led to the river spilling onto the pitch and putting it several feet under water.

Fortunately for the village side they are not due to play there this weekend.

Codicote are due to face Evergreen away in the Herts Senior County League Premier Division on Saturday.
