MANAGER Adam Fisher was a happy man after seeing his Codicote side defeat Hinton Reserves 2-0 on Saturday.

The victory keeps his men top of the Herts Senior County League Reserve Division One.

After the game, he said: "I am really happy with the three points today because I thought Hinton gave us our hardest game of the season last time we played them.

"They are a physical team and had some very good individuals, but we dug in when we had to and tried to play when we had possession.

"The lads now know they are very close to deservedly winning the league but have to stay concentrated to win every game and to have no slip ups."

Fisher's side take on their Knebworth counterparts this coming Saturday.
