MANAGER Dan Kennoy sees Codicote in a three-way battle for the title after going joint top last Saturday night.
Codicote completed a 6-1 away victory against a Hertford Heath side that had impressed in recent weeks against Hatfield Town in the Herts Senior Centenary Trophy and a win against Mill End.
And just as boss Kennoy predicted, league leaders London Lions suffered their first home defeat of the season against Park Street Village.
That gave his side the opportunity to prove the title race is very much in the balance.
Codicote are now level on points with the Lions, although Metropolitan Police Bushey are two behind with games in hand.
"I'm confident we can go on and push Met Police and London Lions all the way in the league," said Kennoy.
"We have a good attitude right now in the squad, everyone is working hard for each other and we're all pulling in the right direction.
"We're scoring goals and we're getting stronger defensively week by week."
Saturday's victory was Codicote's second away win in as many weeks and the Hertingfordbury-based side have another four back-to-back away league fixtures to cope with during the month of February, starting with this weekend's trip to Mill End Sports.
Kennoy commented on the fixture schedule: "To have six away fixtures on the trot does make you think someone is against us.
"But I'm not one to dwell on these things, instead I look to turn it into a positive, because it means four of our last five league games will be at home.
"If we're still in the hunt for the title come the last five games, it'll give us a great chance.
