Codicote were knocked out of the FA Cup 2-0 by Tilbury in the preliminary round.

After a 1-1 draw in their first meeting on Saturday, the replay, at the Essex side’s Chadfields ground, saw the hosts progress thanks to two late goals on Tuesday.

On the stroke of half-time the Dockers were awarded a penalty when Harry Cook was fouled in the box.

However, Cod keeper Billy Barnes saved Jack West’s spot-kick.

Ryan Flack broke the deadlock with five minutes left and just 60 seconds later Danny Aldwinckle made it 2-0.

In injury time Tilbury’s Cook was sent off for a clash with Codicote substitute Craig Cawcett.
