VILLAGE club Codicote have confirmed that Adam Fisher will be their Reserve team player/manager next season.

This will be the new man's first management job in senior football, but he is already a full-time coach with Brentford's youth academy.

With that experience, he has already set his sights on winning the Herts Senior County League Reserve Division One.

Fisher said: "I am delighted to be joining Codicote as Reserve team player/manager from next season and would like to thank Dan Kennoy and the committee for giving me my first chance of management in senior football.

"The reserve team had a very good season last year, finishing a very respectable fifth, and I want us to take that a step further and win the league."

Fisher, who plays in midfield, believes he has linked up with an outfit that is going places.

He added: "I feel I am joining a club on the whole with big ambitions and who are committed to progressing through the non-league pyramid and play at the highest level possible.

"With the excellent players already at the club and any new players joining in the summer I am sure this is a realistic possibility.

"I am looking forward to helping the club achieve this goal.
