Welwyn Garden City are now 10 games unbeaten in all competitions this season after a 2-0 away SSML Division One win against Edgware Town.

Jason Caswell and Daryl Smith, on his 50th appearance for the club, struck late on at Barnet’s former Underhill ground to secure the points.

The result moves WGC up to second in the table with five wins from five, they have two games in hand over leaders Harpenden.

City have a plus 20 goal difference having scored 21 and conceded just once in the league so far.

On Saturday they are in FA Cup action away to Thurrock in the first qualifying round.

The club is running coaches to the game, tickets are available at the clubhouse on a first come first served basis at a price of £10 for adults, £6 per child with U5s free.
