Chelsea defender Alex Davey, from Welwyn Garden City, has joined Norwegian Tippeligaen side Stabaek on loan.

The 21-year-old has signed for the team managed by former Watford boss Billy McKinlay on loan until July 22.

The Norwegian league has only just started with teams having played just one game so far.

On Sunday Stabaek face Molde, who are managed by ex-Manchester United star Ole Gunnar Solskjær.

Davey was on loan at Peterborough United earlier this season.
