STRIKER Liam Catchpole scored a late winner as Gosling Youth Under-13s beat title-chasers Lemsford Pumas 4-3.

The Division Two sides met knowing a Pumas' win would see them crowned champions.

Lemsford took the lead in the first half, but Gosling dug deep and equalised with a cracking goal scored by man of the match Josh Eckley.

Again Lemsford moved into the lead before half-time, only to be pegged back by an excellent finish from Chris Ansell.

The scene was set for one of the most pulsating and exciting second halves probably witnessed at Gosling's home ground.

With both teams determined to win the match, every player gave their all and yet again Lemsford took the lead 3-2.

Gosling did not want to surrender their 100 per cent home record and levelled through Ansell getting his second of the game.

In the final quarter of the game Catchpole netted the winner for Gosling.

Pumas will have to wait until their next game to see if they will be champions.
