Potters Bar Town extended their unbeaten league run to six games with a 4-1 win at Uxbridge on Bank Holiday Monday.

Having not had a match for 16 days, Bar’s first Southern League Division One Central encounter of 2017 could have proved troublesome.

However that was not to be the case as the Scholars were 2-0 up at the interval with goals from Eoin Casey and Ashley Nathaniel-George.

Casey bagged his second of the day after the break and a fourth was netted by Joe Bennett before Wayne Carter grabbed a late consolation for Uxbridge.

The result saw Town move up to sixth in the table.

Next up for Potters Bar is a tough test at home against second in the table Farnborough.
