CARETAKER City manager Dave Lewis tried to take the positives from Saturday's game.

WGC were on the wrong end of a 4-0 defeat at home to Harefield United.

However, the struggling Citizens deserved better.

Lewis said: "It was a much improved performance this time around.

"Despite the scoreline, we were more than a match for Harefield today."

Assistant Graham Willis echoed the positive sentiments.

"We have a lot of decent youngsters here, and they are getting their chance now," he said.

"It's all positive for the future and despite the result we played well and it bodes well for next season."

WGC face Holmer Green tonight (Tuesday).
