New entrants into the Welwyn Hatfield Sunday Football League BP Mitchell continued their bright start to the season with a 2-0 win against Hilltop Taxis.

As the game progressed the BP midfield duo of Craig Hollick and Simon Gibbs started to dictate the game.

BP took the lead on 21 minutes when striker Errol Reyner played a perfectly weighted pass that winger Alex MacDonald ran onto and under pressure drilled the ball into the top corner.

Hilltop responded and forced keeper Gary McGwyne to make a number of good saves.

On 35 minutes BP were awarded a penalty, but Reyner dragged the ball wide.

Hilltop started brightly in the second half and again forced McGwyne into a good save.

BP dug in with man of the match Simon Gibbs in central midfield putting in a strong performance. With 15 minutes left BP sealed the win when a Paul Orchard corner caused a goalmouth scramble and MacDonald slotted a second.
