TOWN boss Trevor Lloyd is playing down the chances of him having to dust down his boots.

The former Hatfield centre-half and club captain believes his squad will be weakened in the next few weeks with injuries and suspensions kicking in.

However, he is resisting the urge to make a comeback for the first team - for now!

He said: "It's going to be difficult with all the games we've still got to play.

"I really hope I don't have to pick myself, even on the bench.

"I said I wouldn't play, and I feel it would be a backward step if I had to."

Lloyd has been involved in two minutes of match action in two years since he took over as Blueboys number one.
