Blackpool retained their three-point cushion at the top of the Championship with a 3-2 win over NBA FC in the Ultimate Football Welwyn Garden City Monday night six-a-side league.

Niall Quinn initially gave NBA the lead before Greg Timotheou and Luke Swift swung the game in Blackpool’s favour.

Toby Kirkham equalised for NBA before the break and a closely-contested second half was finally settled by Dan Zienkowicz’s fine strike.

Hedgehog FC hit Smakosze St Albans for six in an unusually one-sided affair between two old rivals.

Ben Whybrow’s powerful effort ahead of half-time, which went in off the post, was the goal of the game while Charlie Bacon’s brace earned him the man of the match.

Smakosze team captain Damian Mikulski will be keen to welcome back several first team regulars as soon as they’re available again.

Dan Allison hit a hat-trick in FC Big Fan’s 6-1 victory over The Toddlers with a double from Josh Timmins and a clinical strike from Scott Leger rounded off the scoring.

Tom Page got the consolation strike for Toddlers.

A game of two halves between Boca Seniors and Neverbee Athletic ended with Seniors edging it 3-2.

They had raced into a 3-0 half-time advantage with goals from Tom Bundy, Ross Rowan and Ashley Durrant but Francis Mardlin’s men fought back after the break.

Man of the match Ricky West and Dominic Gillick got Athletic to within a goal but Seniors held on for their second narrow win in successive weeks.

The top of the table clash between SD & Carlton Cole and Volvo Selekt could have gone either way, but eventually it tipped the way of the former in a 3-2 success.

Lloyd Peters and Ben Neville scored either side of half-time to put Cole in front but Anthony Foran and Martin Clark got Volvo back on level terms.

But Neville pounced with less than two minutes remaining to send Cole top of League One.

My Dixie retained top spot in the Premiership with a 3-1 win over FC Flair although Little Commity CF kept in touch with a 6-3 victory.
