In the Ultimate Football Welwyn Garden City Monday night six-a-side league, Steve Charles' Blackpool beat FC Big Fan 5-0.

Man of the match Greg Timotheou twice found the net in the first half.

After the break, Big Fan regrouped and played some encouraging football, although they lacked ideas in the final third.

Blackpool soon extended their lead as a terrific strike from player-manager Charles made it 3-0.

Two successive goals from striker David Willis completed the win for the orange jersey outfit, who remain in second place behind leaders Knick Of Time

Pacesetting Knick of Time also won, running out 5-3 victors over Old Boys United.

In the Premiership, My Dixie beat Leg Day Pending 6-3.

George Robinson netted a hat-trick for My Dixie.

Premiership winners The Old Guard were beaten 4-3 by Ross Rowan’s It’s What He Would Have Wanted.

Wanted took their chances well and goals from Mark Chappell, Bobby Wilson, Andrew Bacon and player-manager Rowan secured a well-deserved 4-3 win.

Luke Cooper gave Wheeler Dealers a slender one-goal half-time lead against Smakosze St Albans.

Despite some increased pressure from Smakosze after the restart, persistent hard work from man of the match Cooper enabled him to increase his team’s lead.

Krzysztof Barnowski netted to give Smakosze hope but James Wheeler’s men held on for the points.

Tekkers Slovakia were first off the mark against Neverbee Athletic thanks to a fine effort from Jake Lonergan.

However, two goals from Francis Mardlin and one from Dan Hedges gave Athletic a 3-1 half-time lead.

Hedges struck again seconds after the restart before Lonergan reduced the arrears to 4-2.

It was man of the match Hedges who then put the game beyond Slovakia’s reach by completing his four-goal haul on the night.

Lonergan sealed his hat-trick as a consolation for Mark Trayner’s men but Athletic had the final say as Dominic Gillick hit a sweet strike to complete the 7-3 triumph.

Back in the Championship, Tom Bundy notched the only goal of the game as Boca Seniors saw off Hedgehog FC 1-0.
