SCHOLARS boss Steve Browne threatened 'drastic' action after his side lost to second bottom Ilford on Saturday.
The Bar gaffer kept his side locked in the dressing room for the best part of an hour while he told them what he thought of their performance.
When he did appear, he said: "I'm going to do something drastic this week and get a couple of experienced players in.
"Whatever happens I have got to do that because whilst we look good going forward, at the back we are not the best.
"Our defence is an area we have to look at.
"Not too many changes are needed, maybe a dominant and experienced centre-half and we'll be OK."
Browne thought his side controlled the game and should have come away with the points.
"I think if it was a boxing match it would have been ended after half an hour," he said.
"They (Ilford) were poor. I don't know how anybody else saw it from the stand, but from what I saw we were by far the better team. It was not even close, it was by a country mile."
Despite having the majority of the play, Bar managed just one goal.
Lapses at the back allowed the Foxes to score twice late in the second half to snatch an unlikely victory.
The Essex side have managed just three league wins all season and remain second bottom of the table.
"I'm just so disappointed," added Browne.
"I have been here before and said the same things and I've just got to make sure I do something about it.
"We have been too naive, but the nature of the game is we will go again next week."
