POTTERS Bar striker Sam Adejokun and Alex Bolt both scored as Potters Bar Town defeated a Dulwich Hamlet XI 2-1 in a friendly at Parkfield on Monday night.

With a lack of competitive fixtures in recent weeks, this match was organised to give both sets of players a run-out.

For the Scholars it was the first time many of the starting line-up had played together for the club, as seven of them were new signings.

However, it was a Bar regular who opened the scoring in fine style.

A deep Jonathan Spencer cross from the right was headed out but only as far as Alex Bolt on the edge of the box.

The former Rushden & Diamonds man controlled the ball on his chest before looping a spectacular volley into the top corner.

Dulwich levelled after the break when Bar failed to stop a run into their box, the forward squared for a team-mate to slot in.

The winner came from the penalty spot on 51 minutes.

Sam Adejokun converted the kick after Bolt had been fouled in the Dulwich area.
