FORMER Citizens player Adam Fisher has been named as the new Welwyn Garden City FC first team manager.

The ex-Codicote boss is replacing Scott O’Donoghue who stepped down from the role with the Spartan South Midlands League Division One club at the end of the season.

After a spell managing Codicote in the 2009/10 and 2010/11 seasons, Fisher joined Evo-Stik League Division One Central side Barton Rovers as assistant manager.

Fisher, who is from WGC, will now spend the summer assembling his City squad for the forthcoming campaign.
