F1 2011 Italian Grand Prix qualifying: Front row Monza result for Hamilton

FORMULA 1 driver Lewis Hamilton will line-up on the front row at Monza after today’s 2011 Italian Grand Prix qualifying session.
The Vodafone McLaren Mercedes star from Hertfordshire was second fastest in the final phase of qualifying at the famous Italian circuit this lunchtime.
Hamilton, 26, was beaten to pole position at Monza by reigning F1 world champion Sebastian Vettel.
At the end of Q3, Herts-born Hamilton was second with a best lap time of 1m 22.725s.
McLaren team-mate Jenson Button qualified third with a 1m 22.777s.
Red Bull driver Vettel was the only one to improve on his final lap in Q3.
He clocked a 1m 22.275s to take pole position in Italy.
Fernando Alonso, who won the race for Ferrari last year, will go from fourth on the grid.
The Spaniard will start ahead of Mark Webber in the other Red Bull.
Felipe Massa claimed the other third row slot for Ferrari.
The 2011 Santander Italian Grand Prix starts at 1pm on Sunday.
