English Alpine Championship silver for Robert Poth

Potters Bar’s GB international U18 ski racer Robert Poth won silver at the 2014 English Alpine Championship in Italy yesterday (Wednesday).

On the fourth day of the championships in Bormio, the Hertfordshire ace grabbed second place in the FIS Slalom.

His run times of 53.24seconds and 46.22secs gave him an overall time of 1min 39.46secs.

Charles Raposo won gold in a time of 1min 34.26secs.

Of his medal, Poth said: “I’m really excited with my position.

“With my continuous training I’m determined to achieve further success.”

Poth skis for Aktiv Ski Racing Academy with his favourite disciplines being Slalom and Giant Slalom.
