FOUR Queenswood pupils have been selected as potential England hockey players of the future.

Christina Horn, Megan Crowson, and sisters Alice and Emily Wills successfully completed a series of intensive training sessions and match days, at which promising players are selected as potential England hockey players.

Christina Horn, aged 14, was selected to attend the Under-15 England High Performance Assessment Camp (HiPAC) at Lilleshall National Sports Centre in Shropshire last weekend.

Megan Crowson is 15 and has been selected to perform at England’s Futures Cup in the Under-16 age group.

Sisters Alice Wills (Under-16) and Emily Wills (Under-18) have also been picked for the Futures Cup.

This tournament takes place between October 27-30 at Cannock Hockey Club.

Being selected to both HiPAC and the Futures Cup places the girls from the school in Brookmans Park in the top 60-80 players in the country for their age groups.

It is from the Futures Cup Tournament in Cannock that England’s National Age Group Squads (NAGS) are selected.
