WGC'S Sunday XI completed an easy win over Preston in a 40-over match at Digswell Park.

Andy Nolan's medium pace was too much for the visitors' numbers two and three as he removed them both for ducks.

He then completed an impressive eight over spell, taking 4-15.

Preston made a recovery of sorts with opener Hearne scoring 57 and keeper Hill got 34 not out, but no other batsman could get much off a six-man WGC bowling attack.

On the good pitch 147 was never likely to be enough.

Dileep Rudraswarmy, who likes to play shots, scored a rapid 69 with 10 boundaries. Support from Dan Beynon (21), James McDonald (27), Paul Woolley and Alex Chalker ensured WGC cruised home with five overs to spare.
