A Hatfield-based inline hockey team has dominated an international tournament in France – winning both first and second position.

The M-Puckers took two teams to The Ardennes Trophy tournament, held in Rethel in the north of the country.

The squad are no strangers to tournament success but this was perfect.

The Whites and the Blues were put into separate groups where they would face three games each.

And both came out on top to qualify for the quarter-finals.

From there the pair made their way to the all-English and all-Hatfield final, both coming through undefeated.

It meant something had to give and it was the Whites who came out on top in a gripping, fast-paced final, winning 8-1 over their Blue counterparts.

The club play out of Hatfield Leisure Centre and are always in the lookout for new members.
