Welwyn Garden City suffered a hugely-disappointing 5-0 loss at lowly Luton Town to leave them looking over their shoulder at the bottom of East League Division Three South West.

It had started well enough with the visitors piling the pressure on in the opening 10 minutes and winning three penalty corners.

Bryn Evans first drag flick attempt was scuffed and the second was well saved.

The third was hit by Dylan Parker but his shot flew wide.

And from there Luton started to take control of proceedings.

They had three by half-time despite the best efforts of Dan Klinger in the WGC goal and they upped their game further after the break

Klinger continued his fine form, denying most of the home chances bar two from short corners.

Welwyn did have some half chances but they will need to drastically improve at Letchworth on Saturday to get their season back on track.
