HALF centuries from Steve Stroomer and Tom Bennett helped Datchworth beat derby rivals Codicote by 75 runs in Sunday's Broadview Windows League Division Two clash.

Datchworth made 199-3 from their 40 overs after impressive knocks from both Stroomer and Bennett, who scored 54 runs apiece.

A late surge from Sam Brunton, who finished unbeaten on 29, lifted the total towards 200.

Despite Carl Richards' dogged 72, Codicote struggled against the accuracy of Will Nash (1-6), Datchworth rugby hero Jamie Sinclair (1-16) and new skipper Bennett (0-15), as they plodded to 124-6 from their 40 overs.
