Derby success for Shire Park

SHIRE Park Bowls Club claimed a 93-85 victory against Northaw & Cuffley on Sunday. In a five rink mixed game, hosts Shire Park came out on top against their county rivals. Their best rink was that of May Churchill, Tom Brown, Rose Brown and club captain F

SHIRE Park Bowls Club claimed a 93-85 victory against Northaw & Cuffley on Sunday.

In a five rink mixed game, hosts Shire Park came out on top against their county rivals.

Their best rink was that of May Churchill, Tom Brown, Rose Brown and club captain Fred Goodege. The four won 25-14.

This coming Sunday the club is holding an open day for people who would like to have a go at the game.

Those intending to try out the sport are requested to take a pair of flat soled shoes or trainers along.
