DATCHWORTH bowlers suffered a good thumping away to Letchworth Garden City in a Stevenage Mixed League match.

The visitors returned home last Sunday after being hammered 100 shots to 56, having lost all four rinks.

The only Datchworth rink not to lose by more than 10 shots was that of Dawn Kingsland, Chris Hills, Basil Briars and skip Steve Chamberlain.

Despite winning the end count 11-10, they still lost the game 22-15.

Gill Parsley, David Thompson, John Alden and skip David Wright not only lost the end count 11-10 but the game 27-16 on shots.

Bill Thorne, Edie Alden, Jean Cooper and skip Steve Arnold were also beaten 29-15.

Meanwhile, Clive Hodson-Smith, Derrick Elms, Doreen Hodson-Smith and skip Peter Hills went down 22-10.
