It went well for the Datchworth team with both triples winning in their final home game of the season.

Overall they claimed victory by 21 points and secured only their second six points maximum score of the season.

Les Elms, Brian Gilbert and skip Les Parsley picked up a five on the first end to take the early lead, but they were eventually caught at 10 all after 10 ends.

They then won the next six ends, taking their score to 27-10, but dropped a six and a two on the last two ends but still won by 27-17.

Mike Mahoney, Steve Arnold and skip Peter Hills' game followed a similar pattern.

They won the first end and were 10-2 up after six ends, but were only 10-9 up after 10 ends.

The foursome then picked up a five on the 16th end to go 24-10 up.

Despite losing the last two ends, the Datchworth bowlers had already done enough to take a positive result and to still win by 24 shots to 13.
