A SEASONED jogging politician is set to don his running shoes again as he tackles the epic Flora London Marathon.

Darren Bennett, borough councillor for Panshanger, takes to the capital's streets, as he did last year, in aid of disabled children's charity PHAB Kids.

Darren, of Mardlebury Road, Woolmer Green, hopes to raise over £1,500 and expects to run the race on April 13 in less than four-and-a-half hours.

He said: "To say it was it enjoyable is maybe going too far, but I have got the bug for running and doing it with the three other people that I do means that I have lots of support.

"I just hope that the weather is good, as last year it was impossible to run a good time but weather like it was two years would be perfect.

"The atmosphere makes me so emotional and I look forward to the day coming round.
