Welwyn Wheelers finished their main Cyclo-cross season off in the same way as they have gone through the majority of it - with wins and fine performances.

The Central Cyclo-cross League ended at Hillingdon with three successes for the green and white jerseys.

Iona Moir and brother Calum led the way with wins in the U16 girls’ and U14 boys’ races respectively. Sasha Blendis came second in the girls’ race.

Toby Brown was sixth in the U16 boys’ while John Cavill was 16th in the 40+ race.

The Eastern League also came to an end with the final round held at Milton near Cambridge.

Dylan Starkey took fourth in the U14s with Daniel Elliot 10th in the U10 event.

Overall Woodliffe won the U12 trophy with the Wheelers third in the season-long team competition.
