With Wimbledon in full swing, a tennis star from Cuffley is looking for their own moment in the SW19 spotlight.

Queenswood School’s Arabella Moen has already secured her spot at the world-famous venue after winning the HSBC Road to Wimbledon East Regional qualifier at Gosling Tennis Centre.

She will play in the U14 challenge in August.

Moen, who trains at Gosling, admits she can’t wait for her own chance to step on the famous grass.

“I feel really good, really happy, I’ve never played at Wimbledon before. This is my first time at Road to Wimbledon too,” said Moen, who beat school friend Annabel Davis 6-3 6-1 in the final.

“It’s quite hard heading into the game because I go to school with Annabel, we’re best friends.

“All four finalists are from Gosling, which is nice but it makes it difficult in the finals.”

HSBC is the Official Banking Partner of The Championships and is committed to supporting grassroots tennis, helping to inspire the next generation of Wimbledon stars to take their tennis careers from the back garden to Centre Court through the HSBC Road to Wimbledon 14 & Under Challenge.
