Hatfield Hyde supporters went through the wringer before celebrating a nail-biting win at home to Watford Town.

Having set the visitors a target of 164, the game seemed to be slipping away from them at

But then slowly but surely the tide started to turn as Watford slipped from 69-1 to 110-5.

And with the target getting closer, Hyde finished off the tail to win by five runs.

Saim Rajput produced the best figures with the ball, claiming 3-25.

He was backed up by Miflan Mohammed Mujreen and Izme Mohammed, who both claimed two wickets each.

Kasun Wissanka and James Hughes bagged two wicket between them.

Earlier skipper Eddie Mills had top scored with 48 with Hughes adding 31.

The result moves them fifth in SHCL Division Four A, just eight points behind Saturday’s opponents in third.
