Archant

Joe Kiely has had a busy couple of weeks with positive results in almost every discipline.

The Welwyn Wheeler was competing in round four of the National Mountain Bike race this week, picking up an excellent third place in the U16 event.

Last week he lined up in the third round of the British Cycling youth road circuit series at Hillingdon and although he wasn’t placed, his inclusion in the race’s main breakaway brought him the prize for the most positive rider.

And if that wasn’t enough he also teamed with Oli Stockwell, Tom Sharples and Archie Peet to finish third overall in the 10-team inter-club event at Herne Hill Velodrome.

Elsewhere Iona Moir was second in the women’s road race at the Cyclopark while Caelen Miller was third in the U16 event

And Peet travelled to Deal where he picked up a massive trophy for his win in the in the South East circuit race.
