HATFIELD swimmer Adam Brown will dive into the Olympic pool later today (August 10) in Beijing.

Brown goes in the heats of the 4x100m freestyle relay at the National Aquatics Centre.

The Great Britain quartet of Wycombe swimmer Simon Burnett, Brown, Swansea's Ben Hockin and City of Edinburgh's Ross Davenport have been drawn in lane one of the second heat.

They line up against Brazil, South Africa, France, Italy, Russia, hosts China and Switzerland at the futuristic Water Cube.

Germany, Canada, Sweden, USA, Australia, Netherlands, New Zealand and Japan go in the first heat.

Nineteen-year-old Brown will swim the second leg for the British team.

He is the youngest member of the British quartet.

Coached by Nick Juba at the Hatfield pool, Brown helped GB to seventh place in the European Championships in Eindhoven, Holland, earlier this year.
