BROCKET Hall golfer Charlie Douglass has reached the matchplay stages of the Spanish women's championship at Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas on Gran Canaria.
Three English golfers, including Douglass along with Gloucestershire duo Sian James and Hannah Barwood, have reached the knockout stage.
Only two shots separated the three players at the end of the 36 holes of strokeplay qualifying for the 32 spots.
Herts teenager Charlie finished in 18th place on 149 after round of 70, 79 and meets Danielle McVeigh of Ireland.
Sian, from the Bristol and Clifton club, swept up the leaderboard with a second round of level par 71 for a 148 total.
This lifted her from 37th place to 12th. She now plays Rosanna Crepiat of France.
Knowle club player Hannah took 19th position in the draw on 150 (76, 74) and faces Rebecca Huber of Switzerland.
