Saunders holds the WBO world middleweight title, the one remaining strap the 34-year-old needs to complete the set in the division.

After defeating Brook last night (Saturday) at the O2 Arena, Golovkin said: “My goal is all the belts in the middleweight division.

“I want a unification fight with Billy Joe Saunders.”

It appears that the Hertfordshire man is open to the encounter.

Saunders, who is expected the make a first defence of his title next month, said on Twitter last night: “@GGGBoxing I’m ready when you are.”
