POOR bowling cost Datchworth 2nds the win as they drew with their Bayford & Hertford counterparts on Saturday.

The bowling performance allowed Bayford to post an excellent score in the wet conditions.

Every bad ball was put away in the Saracens Herts League Division Nine match.

Samulak (75) and youngster Davis (74) were the main threat as Bayford finished their batting spell on 192-6.

With a tight first 15 overs in the second innings, Datchworth were unable to score quickly.

Once the first two wickets had fallen, the total was far beyond their reach.

Opener Stuart Warrington made 55 not out as Datchworth plodded to 113-4 at the close to draw the match.
