IT'S two wins out of two for Hatfield Hyde's 3rd XI after they defeated Abbots Langley 4ths on Saturday.

Ashley Arnott and Andy Garrod both hit half-centuries as Hyde secured the victory in this Saracens Herts Cricket League Division 13 clash.

Adam Boland's men batted first and undoubtedly it was Arnott (52) and Garrod (53 not out) who were the stars as the visitors were bowled out for 199.

There were also some steady contributions from Grant Hazzard, Ben Marques and Stuart MacDougal.

In reply, the home side lost early wickets with Courage Chavhundra (1-46) and Dean Wyeth opening the bowling.

Chavhundra was replaced by Marques and it was Wyeth and Marques who ripped the heart out of the home side's batting.

The awesome duo shared eight wickets as Hyde motored to victory.

Boland also chipped in with a wicket as his men completed their second win by 21 runs to give them two victories out of two.

Wyeth and Marques shone in the bowling department, both scalping four wickets each.

Marques finished the game with figures of 4-40, with Wyeth in similar fashion with a fine 4-48.
