WGC 3rds 112-10 Preston 2nds 114-4

RICHARD Dolan ended with bowling figures of 4-36 but it wasn't enough as WGC 3rds lost to Preston 2nds by six wickets.

Opening the batting, Josh Persuad was the highest scorer with a knock of 23, emphasising the poor attacking performance in this Saracens Herts Cricket League Division Six fixture.

Terry Edwards made just 18, and with Jayesh Mankani being run out and Stuart Primarolo and Dolan both succumbing all too easily, WGC finished on 112.

In the bowling reply, Ian Tanner's radar was slightly off and Sunhil Joshi was a little unlucky at the other end.

It was only after the introduction of Dolan that WGC managed to get any points.

Despite having Preston at 60-4, WGC were not able to force any more wickets and in the end lost out to their opponents by a fairly comfortable margin.
