Potters Bar 2nds 93-10 Old Finchleians 95-3

POTTERS Bar 2nd's produced their worst batting performance of the season away to Old Finchleians on Saturday, to fall to a seven wicket defeat.

Captain Greg Hodge won the toss and elected to bat first on a flat looking wicket in Division Two of the Saracens Herts Cricket League.

Bar's innings started badly when Tom Pett had his leg stump castled in the second over for one and from there things never got going.

Number three Dean Dass and opener Tom Coughlan put on the only notable partnership for the second wicket, but when they both fell for 14, Bar's innings fell apart.

Mark Taylor hit a quick fire 13, but was run out as his bat got stuck in the ground when completing an easy single.

Dave Pett, James Scott and Luke Owers all came and went, and Bar were dismissed for 93.

Boyce and Hodge opened the bowling but both were dispatched to the boundary early on as a mixture of bad fielding, good batting and average bowling worked against Bar. The game was wrapped up inside 23 overs, the visitors reaching 95 with the loss of only three wickets.
